JustZIPit Editor's Review

God, I love simple applications! And this is one of the easiest ever. It has no interface, but it can be quickly accessed using the mouse right click (windows context menu).

By shell integration, it can be run from the Windows context menu by simply right clicking on a file or directory and choosing 'JustZipIt Create a Zip File'. You can also create a Zip file and email it. Almost instantly the file will be archived. Why should you set a lot of parameters, when the application can be integrated in the OS and to work like a part of it? Same thing goes with .zip files which should be extracted. Right-click them and the application will extract the files.

When used for compressing at a normal rate a directory containing multimedia and text files in total size of 104 Mb, JustZipIt created a 44,8 Mb archive in 30 seconds compared to: WinZip, which created an archive of 76,2 Mb in 17 seconds , 64,2 Mb in 1 minute and 11 seconds for WinAce and 64 Mb in 51 seconds for WinRar.

Pluses: It has Zip-64 support for zipping large files.

Drawbacks / flaws: You cannot choose the path of the resulting file, in fact, you have no extra options included in the application.

In conclusion: The easiest way of zipping files; simple, stable and extremely well purpose oriented. And let's not forget the fact that it is freeware.
